Birch received the Michael Vaughan Award from Silverdale School and participated in the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival. She ran in the 2016 English National Championship in women’s singles. Birch was part of the England team that won the mixed team at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. At the 2019 European Games, she won the women’s doubles medal with her partner Lauren Smith.
