The 26-year-old Spanish professional currently competes in the MotoGP class. Maverick Viñales, who drives for Aprilia Gresini in MotoGP, made his contract public to ensure more money goes toward the team.
He made his 125cc debut in 2011 and enjoyed his impressive debut, finishing ninth at the Qatar event. He showed his classic racing skills and finished third in his first career season. This enabled him to enter the 2012 Moto3 Championship. He had a good performance here as well and was promoted to the Moto2 class after winning the 2013 race.
In his first Moto2 race in 2014, he finished third. In 2015 he competed in the elite, finishing third twice on his season debut.
