Plot:
James and Em Foster are enjoying an entire holiday on the beach on the fictional island of La Tolqa when a deadly incident unfolds in a corrupt office, tourism, crime, and great fear.

Infinity Pool earned $1.1 million from 1,835 theaters on its first release day. It debuted with $2.7 million, finishing eighth at the box office and surpassing the lifetime haul of the director’s father’s 2022 Future Crimes ($2.4 million). In its second weekend, it left the top ten with $900,000.

Infinity Pool premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and released by Canada’s Elevation Pictures on January 27, 2023. The European premiere of the film will held at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival in the special section of the Berlinale.
Production

Brandon Cronenberg wrote the first script for Infinity Pool with the intention of directing the film. He created the story from his real-life experiences during the holiday season and from a sci-fi story he wrote about killing clones. Cronenberg began the development of the project in 2019, with production later pushed back to 2021. Many actors joined the project that year and mainly filming took place in Šibenik, Croatia.
